Privacy policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Neat Tools LLC ("Neat Tools", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares your personal information when you visit or buy from neattools.com (the "Site").
What we collect
Order information. When you place an order we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number and payment details. Payments are handled by our payment processors. We never see or store your full card number.
Device information. When you browse the Site we automatically collect things like your browser type, IP address, time zone, the pages and products you view, and how you got here. This is collected through cookies and similar tools.
Support information. If you email us, we keep the message and anything you send with it, such as photos of a damaged item.
Custom order information. If you order a custom label or latch, we keep the text and artwork you submit so we can make it.
How we use it
- To make, ship and support your order
- To send order confirmations and shipping updates
- To screen orders for fraud
- To understand how people use the Site so we can improve it
- To send marketing emails or texts, only if you signed up for them
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run the store:
- Shopify hosts our store, processes payments, and sends our emails and texts. See shopify.com/legal/privacy.
- ShipStation and shipping carriers such as USPS and UPS receive your name and address to deliver your order.
- Judge.me collects and displays product reviews.
- Microsoft Clarity helps us see how the Site is used.
- Meta may receive information about your activity on the Site through cookies, for advertising.
We may also share information when the law requires it, such as in response to a subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights.
Email and text marketing
If you sign up for email, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
If you sign up for texts at checkout, through a signup form or by keyword, you agree that we may send you order notifications and marketing texts, including cart reminders. We send no more than 5 marketing texts a month. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or reply HELP for help.
We do not share or sell your phone number or text consent to third parties for their marketing.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, measure how the Site is used, and support advertising. Shopify lists the cookies its stores use at shopify.com/legal/cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, parts of the Site, such as the cart, may not work properly. You can opt out of ad targeting at optout.aboutads.info and in your Facebook ad settings.
Because there is no common standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, the Site does not respond to them.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax, accounting and warranty purposes. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email sales@neattools.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your information, to receive a copy you can take elsewhere, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We process your information to fulfill your order, to meet our legal obligations, with your consent, and for our legitimate interest in running and improving the store. Your information is transferred to and stored in the United States.
We do not make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you. Shopify uses limited automated checks to block fraudulent orders.
Children
The Site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date below shows the latest version.
